What is a DBS Check?

A DBS Check is a background check used by employers on behalf of applicants to ensure that a candidate is suitable to work in a specific industry. It is also known as a CRB Check or Basic Disclosure.

What happens after I have submitted my application?

Once you you have submitted your application one of our agents will review it carefully to ensure that there are no errors or missing information. If any additional information is required we will contact you via email (or SMS and phone if you request) to amend everything as soon as possible.

Once we have checked all of the relevant documentation your certificate will be dispatched to the address you provided on the application.

How long does the application take?

Your certificate will arrive in 3 to 5 days at the address you provided us. Some applications may take longer.

When will I receive my results?

The certificate usually arrives within 3 to 5 days. On some occasions it can take longer

How long does it take for the certificate to arrive?

The certificate usually arrives in under 3 working days but can take up to 14 working days in some circumstances.

I need to apply for many DBS Checks – what are my options?

If you’re ordering less than 3 we would recommend just going through the application process normally as each application only takes 5 minutes.

If you are ordering more than 3 you can contact us for a more streamlined process, hands on support and a discounted rate.

Can I check the status of my DBS check?

Yes – just use the Check Status page.

Where will my DBS check be sent?

The certificate is sent to the postal address you provide.

What types of DBS checks are there?

Can I apply whilst outside of the UK?

Yes. We can process your application if you are currently outside the UK. Please contact us and we will assist you with this.
