+ When will I get my DBS certificate?

Electronic results usually arrive within 24 hours; physical copies arrive in 3–5 working days, though delays can occur.

+ Will I get an email update when my check is complete?

Yes, we’ll notify you as soon as your results are ready.

+ What happens if my DBS check takes longer?

Extra checks by the DBS or police can cause delays—this is normal and nothing to worry about.

+ How will I receive my DBS certificate?

You’ll get an electronic copy by email and a printed certificate sent to your current address.

+ Can I track the status of my DBS check?

Yes, you’ll receive updates from us, and you can also request the tracking status here.

+ Will my employer get a copy of my certificate?

No, the certificate is sent to you only; you decide who to share it with.

Allow up to 10 working days; if it hasn’t arrived, get in touch with us.

+ Do I need to do anything else now?

If your submitted details have issues we will email you to correct them. You must also have completed your Yoti verification process.

+ How long is my DBS certificate valid for?

There’s no expiry date, but employers may request a new check after a period of time—sometimes 1 year.

+ Can I request another copy if I lose my certificate?

Replacements aren’t issued; a new DBS check must be requested.
